This workshop is designed to support organisations in the health sector to fulfil their commitments to the Treaty of Waitangi. Tailored to the align with the specific commitments of the client, the workshop supports participants to understand the relevance of the Treaty of Waitangi to their organisation and to health provision today.
Through this 2-day workshop participants will:
- understand the historical and current relevance of the Treaty
- understand the impacts of colonisation on Māori health
- gain an appreciation of the role of the Treaty in health
- identify, and feel empowered to undertake, actions which support their organisation to fulfil its Treaty commitments.
Current clients include, PHARMAC, MidCentral DHB, Health Quality and Safety Commission and NZ College of Public Health Medicine.
