This workshop is designed to support organisations in the health sector to fulfil their responsibilities under Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Tailored to the align with the specific focus of the client, the workshop supports participants to understand the relevance of te Tiriti to their organisation and to health provision today.
Through this 2-day workshop participants will:
- understand the historical and current relevance of te Tiriti
- understand the on-going impacts of colonisation and institutional racism on Māori health
- gain an appreciation of the central role of te Tiriti in quality health provision
- identify, and feel empowered to undertake, actions which support their organisation to fulfil its te Tiriti and Māori health equity commitments.
