Responding to racism

Grounded in an understanding of the commitments made in the Treaty and the impacts of colonisation, this workshop considers racism towards Māori. Participants are guided in exploring responses they can make to address everyday racism in Aotearoa.

In a half-day workshop, participants will gain an understanding of:

  • the relationships envisaged in the Treaty
  • the connection between colonisation and racism in Aotearoa
  • institutional and personal responses

In a full-day workshop, participants will gain an understanding of:
